Independence Day

Hi Friends,

Really had fun this ' Independence Day '.
Let me share some fantastic ideas for Independence Day Theme.

1. Cheer leader : Draw a figure on black chart, use tri-color frills for skirt.
Arrange the flags as shown. Beautiful wall decoration ready :)

2. Balloons : Tri-color balloons bunch. All time favourite.

3.  Rosette: Orange Rosettes with sparkle centre . Rosettes can be made by using green and white colors . As shown in the picture below. These rosettes can be used as wall decorations :). ( Diameter of rosettes  is 7")

 4. Games : Tareekh pe tareekh - use a calender board for the same, decorate it the why you like ( or the way shown in picture) . Now keep tambola numbers (1-31) in a potali bag ( so that  a person picking out numbers could not see it)
Ask a person (or couple) to pick a number and place it on the board.
Person (or couple) with highest number on calender board in the duration of 1 mi will be the winner.

5. Independence Day Tambola : Draw the tambola as shown in pic, Offers are also written on the tambola sheet,

6. Gifts: Wrap them up with tri-colors ideas :)

7. Dress yourself :  Now its you ....... should look beautiful...as per theme... as INDIAN as you could.
1. Go for saari or suit.
2. Tri- color Bangles and nail art is in.
3. Tri - color dupattas give instant ' Rang-de-basanti' look .

Simple ideas... ! Enjoy the day !

Rainbow Jhumki Tutorial

RAINBOW JHUMKI
Hello friends,
Here is a tutorial for “RAINBOW JHUMKI “.

WHAT ALL YOU NEED?

1.       Quilling Strips  ( 7 different colors)
2.       Embellishments ( Self stick-on pearls)
3.       Quilling Tool
4.       Quill Coach
5.       Glue
6.       Varnish (and brush for application)
7.        Wire and Earring- hooks

 HOW TO MAKE RAINBOW JHUMKIES?

1.       Glue the strips in the series, i.e, end of one strip is to be glued with start of another.  As shown in the picture.

2.       Once all the strips are been glued, we will be having a long strip made up of 7 colors.
3.       For the sequence of color in the long strip, we can follow VIBGYOR – violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and Red ( as we are making RAINBOW JHUMKI)
4.       Now make a smooth and tight coil using this long strip with the help of quillig tool and quillig coach. As shown in picture.

5.       Use your fingers to give a perfect jhumki shape to the tight coil. You can also use 3-D Quilling tool for the purpose.

6.       Apply Varnish to your creation and let it dry. (Preferably in sunlight )

7.       Now attach Earring- hook to the earring by using thin wire.
8.       Add embellishments of your choice , here I am using self stick-on pearls.

Your beautiful and vibrant pair of jhumki is ready...!!!!
